UFV employees have access to Microsoft 365 (M365) including familiar productivity and collaboration tools such as Exchange Online, OneDrive, MS Teams, and Online Productivity Suite, MS Planner, and SharePoint. The below listed are the different M365 applications available for employees.
Find below information on the M365 components that are currently available for UFV Employees and a list of resources for different apps to learn how to set up and use Microsoft 365 apps on your computer, phone, and tablet.

Training Resources for Microsoft 365 Applications
Employees can access the M365 Online Productivity Suite Application on the office web portal and also download M365 applications - Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, MS Planner, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access (available for PC only), and Publisher (available for PC only) on their personal devices. To download the M365 applications on a personal device follow the steps listed below:
- Go to Office web portal and sign in using the following credentials.
- Username: UFV employee email address (e.g. john.doe@ufv.ca)
- Password: UFV email password
- Once you are successfully logged into your UFV Microsoft account, on the home page, click Install Office.
- Choose Office 365 apps if you need to install all applications.
- Run the file downloaded and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. For more information on installation, refer to Microsoft Support documentation on installation.
Employees can access M365 Online Productivity suite applications on the Office web portal and also download the M365 applications on a personal device as shown in the above section. Once downloaded, you can sign in to the applications to start using it on PC. For information on how to login to M365 applications both ways, refer to the following articles:
1. Login to M365 applications on the Office web portal with the following credentials:
- Username: UFV employee email address (e.g. john.doe@ufv.ca)
- Password: UFV email password
2. Login to M365 applications downloaded on PC
You can only be logged in to the Office on 5 devices simultaneously and it will automatically log out devices if you exceed the 5 simultaneous logins.

Employees can access their UFV email (e.g. john.doe@ufv.ca) via the following methods listed below:
Employees can reset their UFV Email Account Password using the self-service password reset service (SSPR). Before you can use it, employees must enroll for SSPR following the steps provided in the below article:

Outlook
|
UFV provides email services to employees through Exchange Online (a cloud-based service that is part of M365). Employees can setup their UFV email on the Outlook application or use Outlook Web Portal to access email.

Microsoft SharePoint is used to create websites. You can use it as a secure place to store, organize, share, and access information from any device.

Microsoft Planner
|
MS Planner provides a collective space for team members to create plans, organize and assign tasks to different users, and check updates on progress through dashboards.

Microsoft Teams
|
MS Teams is a collaboration tool that supports collaboration spaces, online meetings, audio, video, and file sharing.

OneDrive
|
OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud-based file storage service. You can use it to store your files and share them with others; all files stored in OneDrive are private unless you decide to share them. When you use the applications in Microsoft’s Online Productivity Suite (see below), you can save your files in OneDrive, making your work accessible from anywhere and on all your devices.
