UFV policy regarding Microsoft Outlook

The ITS only supports the Outlook application or Outlook Web Portal and recommends employees to use it to access UFV-provided email/calendar. 

For the setup, you will need to know your UFV e-mail address and password for setup. Employees can set up email on their device's default mail app, Gmail, or Outlook. If you experience any difficulties with your email apps connecting to your UFV account, you can remove the account and add it again. This is the easiest approach, and don’t worry – you won’t lose any of your data! Listed below are the instructions based on the device and the client you are using.

On iOS

  1. On an iOS device, go to "App Store"
  2. Search for "Microsoft Outlook", click Get, and then Install.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID, or create an Apple ID if you don't have one.

On Android

  1. On Android, go to "Google Play Store". Search for "Microsoft Outlook", and click Install.

How to add an account in Outlook?

Steps to add an account if you are adding an account to Outlook for the first time.

  1. Open Outlook and click 'Get Started'. Get Started button on Outlook Window
  2. Click ADD ACCOUNT on the bottom rightAdd Account option
  3. You can now enter your UFV email address and click NextOffice 365 sign in page
  4. Finish signing in with your email password and click Sign inUFV sign in page
  5. The account is now successfully added.

 

Steps to add an account if you already have another personal account added in Outlook.

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on the Profile icon in the top left corner.

  3. Click on the Add mail icon on the top left corner if you already have another account added.

  4. Enter the email address and click 'Add Account'.

  5. Enter your UFV email account password and click 'Sign In'.

How to remove an account in Outlook?

  1. To delete your current account, first, click on the Office 365 icon at the top left of your screen.

  2. Next, click on the settings icon, the small gear at the bottom left of your screen.

  3. Now, select your email, then click DELETE ACCOUNT at the bottom of the screen.
