Digital Signage

Overview

Digital signage is managed by IT Services in partnership with Communications, Marketing, and Safety & Security. This service provides a digital platform to communicate across campuses at UFV. TelemetryTV is a cloud-based digital signage content management system (CMS) that departments can use to update their TV displays remotely, share announcements, and help students navigate the campus. More importantly, this application allows UFV Communications and Safety & Security to communicate emergency information immediately to every display in real-time.

IT Services can assist in procuring digital signage solutions and providing access to the TelemetryTV tool for department editors.

Features include:

  • Unified messaging and targeted content according to campus location
  • Centrally managed notifications for security such as weather warnings and catastrophic events
  • Up-to-date information on campus events & promotions
  • Introduction of media-rich content such as moving images, video, TV feeds, and scrolling text to improve engagement
  • Unified digital signage system across campuses
  • Ability to self-manage content for department digital display
  • Self-managed end-user support available through the vendor

Digital Signage Procurement: Request the procurement and installation of digital signage. The AV team will provide consultation to departments interested in implementing a digital signage solution.

TelemetryTV Editor Permissions: Request editor access to TelemetryTV for departments that have a TV screen for digital signage. Also, request to change or remove current editor permissions. The department's digital signage manager must request permission updates for their dedicated editor(s).

Submit a Marketing Project Intake Survey:
