Best practices

These best practices will enhance loading times, streamline file accessibility, and prevent account limits from being exceeded.

  1. Organize your content
    1. Use folders and subfolders to improve organization and simplify navigation. Each department should have its own folder for storing media, playlists, apps, etc. There will be shared folders for approved UFV-wide assets.
    2. Employ descriptive naming conventions to make it easier to identify and locate items quickly.
    3. Utilize tags to provide an additional layer of categorization and allow for flexible searching.
  2. Optimize files
    1. Compress images and videos to reduce loading times. Prioritize file compression without compressing quality.
    2. Consider file format for faster loading times. For images, consider using JPEG or PNG. Use HTML5 video formats, such as MP4.
  3. Regularly review and clean up
    1. Periodic content audit to identify outdated or irrelevant files.
    2. Monitor storage usage to avoid exceeding your allocated limits.
