Accessibility Tools on Windows 11
- Live captions in Teams: To turn on live captions in a Teams meeting, go to your meeting controls and select More options > Turn on live captions.
- Alt text: Make your images accessible by adding alt text. Select and hold (or right-click) on an image > View Alt Text.
- Color filters: To add a filter, select Start > Settings > Accessibility > Color filters and choose one that works best for you.
- Voice typing: Control your apps, dictate emails, search online, and more using your voice. To get started, select Settings > Accessibility > Voice Access. Enter text using your voice instead of your keyboard by selecting the Windows logo key + H and start talking.
- Adaptive accessories kit: Get help with your hardware by adding an accessory that adapts to you.

- Accessibility features: Navigate using voice recognition, see what's being said with live captions, or have on-screen text read aloud by a narrator in a natural, human voice.
- Settings app: Changing settings is faster and easier with a new navigation design and common controls at the top of key pages.
Easier to Be Productive
- Snap assist: Organize what's on your screen in a snap. Drag a window to the edge of the screen to activate Snap assist and "snap" them into an organized grid. Hover over a window’s maximize button or press the Windows logo key + Z, then choose a snap layout to optimize your screen space and your productivity.
- Snap groups: Snap two or more open apps or windows to create a snap group when working on a specific task. Hover over one of your open apps in the taskbar to find it later.
- Desktop groups: Organise your digital life with desktop groups. Build a dedicated desktop space for each area of your life with custom backgrounds and labels.
- Personalization: On your desktop, right-click (or select and hold) > Personalize to choose themes, backgrounds, colors, and more.
- Access personalized websites from Start Menu: Start menu now has the recommended websites personalized based on your browsing history. To turn off this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Start.
- Widgets: Keep track of your day, to-dos, news, and more with widgets.

- Performance and security: Windows 11 is designed with multiple layers of protection to help keep your apps, information, and privacy secure.
- Device protection with SmartApp Control: Windows 11 will only run apps that have a good reputation and won't compromise your data.
- Microsoft Edge security: Microsoft Edge can also scan the web to check if your passwords have been compromised. Learn more about security.
- Open File Explorer from the taskbar or the Start menu, or press the Windows logo key + E on your keyboard.
- Right-click (or press and hold) the folder and select Pin to Quick access to pin a folder to Quick access.
- To share a file, select it, then select Share on the ribbon. You can also right-click on the file and select Share
- To move the location of a file or folder, select it and then select Cut on the ribbon. Navigate to the new location, then select Paste .
- Find Cut , Copy , Paste , Rename, Share , and Delete at the top of the context menu. Hover over any icon to see its name.
- Right-click (or select and hold) on a file or folder to open the context menu.
- Select Show more options to find commands from the previous Windows 10 context menu.
- To change how items appear in File Explorer, select View on the ribbon and choose between showing icon, lists, details, and more.
- To reduce the space between files, select View > Compact view.
- To find relevant files from your PC and the cloud, search from File Explorer Home.
