Setup your UFV computer resources
Once you have accepted your offer of admissions to UFV, one of the emails UFV sends you is a welcome email with instructions on how to set up your myUFV profile.
The welcome email from "noreply@ufv.ca" will contain your student ID and UFV student email.
Note: Always regularly check your spam/junk folder in your personal email because important UFV email may have been filtered and gone directly to your personal junk mail folder: See related KB article
Your username will be your UFV student email address, and your passphrase will be the first thing you setup in the steps below.
1. Create a Secure Passphrase
If you have never logged into any of your UFV accounts, you are required to create a strong passphrase. A passphrase is similar to a password but using a passphrase is more secure because it is harder to guess.
Password: A short mix of letters, numbers, and symbols (e.g., "P@ssw0rd").
Passphrase: A longer string made up of several words (e.g., "SunnyDayAtTheBeach").
To learn about passwords, passphrases, and password managers, see related article: Create a Strong Password.
When you are ready to create your initial student passphrase, click the Create passphrase button and follow the instructions under New Student?.

2. Register for MFA
You are required use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), a security process that adds an extra layer of protection in addition to using your username and passphrase.
When registering for MFA, you will need to provide at least two items of authentication. This can be a one-time code or have a notification sent to your mobile phone. If you are a non-cell phone user, there is an option to register for MFA using the USB method.
When you are ready to setup your MFA, click the Setup your MFA button and follow the instructions.
