Receive student ID and email address
After accepting your admissions offer, watch for your UFV welcome email from noreply@ufv.ca.
Your welcome email contains your UFV student ID and your UFV student email address.
Your UFV student email address is your UFV computer account username.
Your UFV student ID (9 digits) will verify and be used to create your initial computer account password.
Setup your online UFV Account
If you have never logged into any of your UFV accounts, you are required to create your online account using a strong password or passphrase.
A password is a short mix of letters, numbers, and symbols, i.e. P@ssw0rd
A passphrase is longer and made up of several words, i.e.SunnyDayAtTheBeach
A passphrase is recommended over a password as it is more secure and harder to guess.
Before you setup your password, if needed, get tips on choosing a password or passphrase.

Use MFA for more protection
UFV requires you to setup and use an an extra layer of protection called multi-factor authentication (MFA).
When you log in a one-time code or notification is sent to your mobile phone to verify it is you logging in to your device.
Note: Once enrolled in MFA, you will have the ability to reset your own password if needed.
When you are ready to setup MFA, click the Setup your MFA button and follow the instructions.

Access Outlook Email
UFV provides active UFV students access to Microsoft Outlook as part of their M365 account.
When you are ready to download and setup your access to Outlook, click the Setup Email button below and follow the instructions.

Install Microsoft 365
UFV also provides you with a free student license to access other M365 applications such as:
OneDrive, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access (available for PC only) and Publisher (available for PC only).
When you are ready to install M365 software and setup your access to M365 apps, click the Setup Microsoft Apps button below and follow the instructions.

To manage your course activities and keep current on campus information and services in one central online location, use UFV's online portal and dashboard also known as Ellucian Experience.

Connect on campus to eduroam (Wi-Fi)
Use the free wireless service while on UFV campuses (or participating eduroam institutions).
When you are ready to setup your connection, you must be in person on a UFV campus, then click the Connect to Eduroam button and follow the instructions for your device.
