Reset Your Employee myUFV, Blackboard, Banner 9 or your Network Login Account (PC/Email) Password Using Self Service

Reset your Employee myUFV or Banner 9 password

  1. Go to the login assistant at password.ufv.ca and follow the prompts.

  2. A reset email will be sent to your personal email address if you have one on file with UFV.

Employees can update/add a personal email address by logging into myUFV and selecting Update Email Address(es) under the Personal Information tab. If you choose not to register a personal email address or have any issues adding one, please submit a ticket through our self-service portal or email us from your @ufv.ca email address.

 

Reset your Employee Network Login Account Password

Resetting employee network login (email/PC) account passwords will also change other services that use employee network login account email credentials or passwords to log in. It may require you to sign into those applications again after a password reset. Check this article on UFV ITS Services and Password Conventions.

If you don't know your password

If you don't remember your employee account password, visit the Microsoft password reset portal here and follow the on-screen instructions to reset the password.

NOTE: You must have enrolled in the Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) before you can reset the password by yourself. To enroll in SSPR, follow the steps in this KB article on "Self Service Password Reset Enrollment".

 

If you know your password

Method 1 (Off-Campus) Employees can also change their network password remotely through Microsoft Online Portal following the steps listed here:

  • Login to your account using the following credentials:
    • Username: UFV email address
    • Password: UFV email password
  • Click on the "Password" on the left-side menu.


     
  • Change Password window will open as shown below. Enter your old password, new password, confirm the new password, and click "Submit".

  • You have now successfully reset your UFV email/ computer login password.

 

Method 2 (On Campus) - Employees can reset their network password used to login to their campus workstation and email when on campus from their UFV Windows desktop computer by selecting CTRL+ALT+DEL > Change a Password.

  • Log on computer
  • Press ctrl+alt+delete
  • Click on Change a password
  • Follow the prompts to change your password.
