Remote Access to UFV Applications

Overview

This service is used to request remote access to specific UFV applications from non-UFV devices or to an on-campus device. For some resources, remote access is not required. You can access these resources directly with your UFV email and password.

Resources that do not require remote access (RDP):

• Email: Access your UFV email directly at www.outlook.com. For detailed instructions, see the Outlook UFV Email through Home Email article in our knowledge base.
• Network Files (Department Drive): Access your network files by signing in at gateway.ufv.ca/FileWay with your UFV credentials. For more information, refer to the Network Drives for Employees article.
• Microsoft 365 Applications: Use the full suite of Microsoft 365 apps in your web browser at www.office.com. For assistance, see the M365 Employee Quick Start Guide.
• Adobe Acrobat: Sign in at creativecloud.adobe.com to access Adobe Acrobat. For guidance on setup, check the Off-Network Install section in the Install Adobe Creative Cloud App (WIN10) article.
• myUFV Web Services: Many self-service Banner modules and related applications are accessible via myUFV.ca. For a list of available services, see our myUFV Web Services knowledge base articles.

Information Required

UFV employees can complete the Remote Access to UFV Applications form to request remote access to specific UFV applications using a non-UFV device or remote access to an on-campus device. Please provide the following information when filling out the form: 

• First and last name
• Employee ID number, if applicable
• Department
• Reason for remote access
