Course Extension (Instructor Use Only)

Overview

INSTRUCTOR USE ONLY.  Students must contact their instructor directly to inquire about course extensions. 

This service is used by instructors to request a change to the course availability in Blackboard (i.e., extending or starting a course in Blackboard before or past the term dates).  

CONSIDERATIONS:  When course availability dates are changed in Blackboard, the change is applied to everyone in the course. If you need the course available only for specific individuals, go to "Course Management">"Users and Groups" and make the course unavailable for those that do not need access.  

Information Required

UFV faculty can complete the Course Extension request form to request extending or starting a course before or past the term dates.  Please provide the following information when filling out the form: 

  • Course ID / course name
  • Dates of availability
  • Additional notes

Instructions

Click on the "Submit Course Extension Request" and complete all required fields on the form.

Support

Contact the IT Service Desk, or check the ticket status of your tickets in the Online Portal for updates.
