How to report suspicious email
Simply forward the email to phishreport@ufv.ca. The Cybersecurity team will investigate and get back to you.
Why report suspicious email?
There are several ways that reporting suspicious emails helps both you and the UFV community:
- Reporting spam and phishing helps train automated email filters so they can better catch malicious email in the future
- Reporting unusual email helps the Cybersecurity team to identify the latest email threats and trends
- If you received a spam or phishing email, chances are that others also received it. By reporting it before you delete it, we can proactively remove all copies of the malicious email
- If you have a question about an email you received, the Cybersecurity team can investigate and we will do our best to answer it
