Blackboard (myClass)

Overview

Blackboard is a learning management system (LMS) designed to enhance the educational experience for both instructors and students. It is the learning platform used by UFV for course management, content delivery, communication, and assessment, supporting blended and online learning environments.

  • Course management: Easily organize and manage course materials, assignments, and assessments in a centralized platform. 
  • Content delivery: Share lectures, documents, and multimedia content with students, supporting diverse learning styles. 
  • Collaboration tools: Facilitate communication and collaboration with tools like discussion boards, journals, and virtual classrooms. 
  • Assessment and grading: Create and grade quizzes, tests, and assignments, with options for automated grading and detailed feedback. 
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track student progress, participation, and performance with real-time analytics and course reports. 
  • Mobile Learning: Access course materials, assignments, and discussions through the Blackboard mobile app.

How do I request or access this service? 

Current students and employees can access Blackboard using their UFV email address and password at myclass.ufv.ca. 

Instructions

Click on the “Submit Application Inquiry Request” and complete all required fields on the form.

This form is used for inquiries about the application, to request more details about the application, or for any questions about the functionality and features of the application. 

Support

Submit Report myClass (Blackboard) Issue: 

  • UFV employees and students can use this form to report issues with myClass (Blackboard).

Faculty members can submit an ITS service request for support with Blackboard, such as enrolling a faculty member or lab monitor, merging or restoring a course.
