Atlassian Confluence

Overview

Atlassian Confluence is a collaborative workspace and content management system designed to help teams create, organize, and share information in one central location. It can be used by organizations for project collaboration, documentation, and knowledge management.

At UFV, it is also known as UFV Wiki or Share UFV. It is used as a document store or wiki for each department’s procedures and processes. It is also sometimes used as a documentation or collaboration space when working on projects.

Features

  • Team collaboration: Allows teams to work together in real time, providing a central place for discussions, ideas, and feedback.
  • Page and document creation: Users can create documents, embed multimedia, and organize content into pages and spaces for different projects or teams.
  • Knowledge base: Users can store documentation, guides, and other important information for easy access by team members.
  • Permissions and access control: Administrators can set permissions to control who can view, edit, or comment on content, ensuring that sensitive information is protected.
