Overview
Banner is an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system designed for higher education institutions to efficiently manage academic, financial, and administrative processes. It is the primary system of record for UFV.
It consists of an integrated suite of higher education software products which includes Banner Student, Banner Finance, Banner Human Resources, and Banner Financial Aid.
Banner Student
Banner Student guides the student experience. It streamlines and automates a wide range of academic and administrative processes related to student management, including admissions, registration, academic records, grades, course scheduling, and student advising. It manages critical student information and delivers services to keep students on track.
Banner Human Resources
Banner HR is a comprehensive human resources management module within the Banner. It streamlines and automates key HR functions such as employee recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, performance evaluations, and workforce planning. It manages every aspect of the employee experience and builds and retains top talent.
Banner Finance
Banner Finance is a robust financial management module within the Banner. It streamlines and integrates key financial processes, including budgeting, accounting, procurement, and accounts payable. It manages the institution’s finances better with improved financial reporting and automated financial processes.
Banner Financial Aid
Banner Financial Aid is a comprehensive software module designed to help higher education institutions manage and streamline their financial aid processes. It directs aid to the right person at the right time and automates processing to distribute funds accurately and quickly.
Who can use this service?
Access to Banner and related ancillary systems is strictly controlled and requires approvals from the supervisor of the employee who needs access and the data custodian of the module requested.
How do I request or access this service?
Submit a Banner Access Request
- This service is used to request new access, extend access, or change access to Banner modules, specific Banner forms, BDMS, FAST Finance, FAST Student, or Degree Works.
- Employees may only request access for the portion of the system that is required to fulfill job duties. A justification for access is required when completing the form.
- Note: An approval from the supervisor / Department Head of the employee that needs access is required. An approval will also be required from the data custodian of the Banner module and/or ancillary system requested.
