Find Student ID & email address

Upon Admission, you will be sent a UFV welcome message to your personal (non-UFV) email.

The UFV welcome message contains your student UFV ID (9-digits) and student email address.

Your UFV student email address is your UFV computer account username.
Your UFV student ID (9 digits) will verify and be used to create your initial account passphrase / password.

Activate UFV computer account

If you have never logged into any of your UFV accounts, you must create your UFV computer account using a strong password or passphrase.

A password is a short mix of letters, numbers, and symbols, i.e. P@ssw0rd.
A passphrase is a phrase of random but meaningful words, i.e.SunnyDayAtTheBeach.

Using a passphrase is highly recommended as a passphrase is easier for you to remember and more difficult for intruders to guess.

For additional information, go to KB article on choosing a password or passphrase.

When you area ready to create your UFV online account, click the Create passphrase button and follow the onscreen instructions under New Student?

UFV requires you to setup an extra layer of protection called multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Once MFA is setup, you will be sent a one-time code or notification to your mobile phone to verify it is you when you log into your device.

MFA also gives you the ability to self-reset your own password.

When you are ready to setup MFA, click the Setup MFA button and follow the instructions for your type of device.

Reset your method of MFA

Current students can use the self-service MFA reset portal to reset their multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods. After your MFA methods have been reset you must re-register for MFA.
