The Blue Dashboard gives instructors interactive ways to view their Student Feedback on Teaching.
Note: Feedback data appears after each term’s reports are released.
Your faculty dashboard shows results for your courses only, making it easy to:
- Review feedback.
- Explore trends over time.
- Identify areas for professional growth.
Accessing Your Dashboard
1. Launch Blue at https://ufv.bluera.com.
2. From the Blue homepage, select View your dashboard.

Dashboard views
Switch between two views for analysis:

Trend analysis
- Good for zoomed-out views
- Filter by subject, level, course, etc.
- View your dashboard for tenure review
Data analysis
- Good for zoomed-in views
- Filter by subject, level, course, etc.
- View one term at a time
Dashboard controls
Anchor Time

- Change the term that is highlighted.
- Defaults to the last future term.
- Update the term date to the current Student Feedback on Teaching survey period.
Time range

- Adjust the time periods being displayed.
- All data within this time range will be included in the trend charts.
Time scale:
Time range selection:
- Time ranges can be adjusted as required.
- Changes will be applied once Apply is clicked.
- Click to select or deselect a time period.
- The dashboard is refreshed each time the range is updated.
A|B Compare with

- Compare course data based on selected demographics.
- Select an attribute to plot it on the graph.
- Select comparison criteria (can span multiple dimensions).
- Click Apply to update the dashboard based on your criteria.
- Course names are automatically listed and grouped alphabetically in the comparison criteria.
Filter

- Use Filter by to adjust variables.
Show presets

- Instructor created saved filters appear here and can be quickly applied to new term data.
Save as preset

- Allows you to save the current filter options to be applied in the future.
Printer

- Export the analysis to print or PDF.
Palette

- Switch between patterned or solid color graphs.
Return to first level
Click the breadcrumb links in the menu at page top to return to the first level of your dashboard.

Show only needed stats
- Initially all trend charts and course summary details will load.
- Add or remove additional statistics from your dashboard view.
- Also display statistics can be enabled or disabled.
Note: Disabled will not appear on the course summary pages or other areas of the dashboard
Use Trend Analysis
- View summary trends with the mean for each time period.
- Use top-right icons Gear and Ellipse to adjust chart.
- Click the interactive graph to filter, break down, or explore demographic details..
Gear
- Changes the statistic measure and chart style.
Ellipses (...)
- Display the mean for each individual question.

- Click a data point in the trend graph.

- Click a bar for a specific course.

Use View Analysis
- Default is list view.
- Shows all courses for a set time period with default question stats and key metrics.
- On the left is all of the courses.
- On the right is each question group summary.

- Select Overall Questions to view the mean for each question.
- Select a course to view all question responses in detail which includes statistics used to calculate rating values.

- Full comments are shown for open-ended questions.
- Question details appear below the summary on the subject-details page.
- Use the toggle button to switch between table and chart views.
- Use the gear icon to apply a dynamic heat map.
