M365: Download, Install, Sign In

Use M365 through its web version or download it to a personal device:

Sign into and use Office for the Web

1. Go to www.office.com and select Sign in.

2. On the Sign-in page enter your UFV email address.

3. On the SSO (Single Sign-On) page, enter your UFV email account password and click Sign in.

4. Check which account you are logged into by clicking on the name initials usually displayed on the header in the right corner of the office on the web.

5. Verify if the account you are logged in to is your UFV email address or any other Microsoft account.

6. If you need to switch between accounts to log in with a different Microsoft email address, click Sign out on the account you are already logged into.

The option for Sign-out is listed when you click on the name initials in the office of the web. 

The screenshot below shows the sign-out option for the web version at www.office.com.

7. Repeat the steps to log in with the required email address and password.

8. After you log into your UFV Microsoft account, select the App Launcher icon

9. Then select any Office app to start using it.

Download and sign into MS Office apps on a personal device

1. Once you are successfully logged into your UFV Microsoft account, on the home page, click Install Office.

2. Choose Office 365 apps if you need to install all applications.

3. Run the file downloaded and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

4. To log into MS Office apps installed on a device, open any MS Office app such as Word and select Sign-In (located under the name initials).

5. In the Sign-in window that appears, enter the UFV email address

6. When the SSO (Single Sign-On) window appears, enter your UFV email account password.

7. Click Sign in.

8. You are now logged into M365 applications using a UFV Microsoft account.

9. If you need to switch accounts click the Sign out option and then Sign in again following the steps mentioned above so that your documents are saved to the correct M365 account.
