Access Browse Classes two ways:

Viewing timetable on UFV.ca

No login required. For browsing only and used for planning - has no registration functions.

Browse Classes

Logging into Ellucian (myUFV)

Access the system where actual registration happens.

1. Go to myUFV and use your UFV student email address and password.

2. Under Registration card, click Registration dashboard.

3. Select Browse Classes from the menu.

Example

Choose Summer 2026 term.

1. Under Select a Term, click the drop-down menu.

2. Choose the Term you want to search.

5. Click Continue.

Example

View All Course Offerings (no filters) for Summer 2026.

1. Leave all filters blank.

2. Select Search at the bottom of the page.

3. Result will display all active and available course sections for Summer 2026.

A filter helps to narrow your results to a more specific course(s).

Common filters include:

- Subject
- Course Number
- Campus
- Instructional Method
- Attribute
- Open Section

To use a filter, click into its box and either type its name or choose it from the drop-down menu.

Example

View all sections of ENGL 105 offered for Summer 2026. 

1. Click Subject filter.

2. Type English or use drop-down menu.

3. Type 105 in text box Course Number.

Note: Control which columns to display by clicking the gear icon and selecting or deselecting columns.

4. Click Search.

5. Review Results.

6. Optional: If you want to do another search, click the Search Again button located in top right corner.

To access additional details for each course section, click its link and review the info tabs in its pop-up window.

View additional information about ENGL 105 offered for Summer 2026 by clicking the Course Title link. 

1. Click the course title link Academic Writing for ENGL 105 to open a pop up window.

2. Click on each of the grey tabs on left to open its related details in panel on the right.

An overview of what details are provided.

Class Details Tab

- Overview of the course including indication of campus, instructional method, and CRN.

Course Description Tab

- The course description from the official course outline.
- Required prerequisites.
- Additional notes from the department.

Enrollment/Waitlist Tab

- Total number of seats
- Seats remaining
- Current waitlist numbers

Instructor/Meeting Times Tab

When course section(s):
- Days of the week
- Start and end times
- Room location

Linked Sections

- If none available, then it will say, No linked course information available.

Cross Listed Courses

- If none available, then it will say, No cross list information available.

Restrictions Tab

Restrictions* that may prevent registration, including:
- Program- or major-specific limitations
- Declaration requirements
*Other than prerequisites

Note: Not all restrictions are applicable.

Bookstore Links Tab

Provides a link to UFV Online Bookstore.

Attributes Tab

Shows designations such as:
- SLG (Supported Learning Group) Leader*
- Zero Textbook Cost
*An SLG Leader is a trained UFV student who attends the course and leads peer‑learning sessions to help students understand the course material.

Course subject set by filter.

Course number set by filter.

Unique identifier helps to distinguish the location of the course section (i.e. AB is Abbotsford). See Campus tab for more information.

The Title is the official title of the course.

Click hyperlinked Course Title to additional information about each course offering such the Course Description, Pre/Co-requisite information, and course section notes.

Credits earned for successfully completing the course.

Course Reference Number:

- A five digit identifier used to add the specific section during registration.
- Each course section will have its own CRN.

Indicates campus location where course is offered:

i.e. Abbotsford campus, Chilliwack, online, etc.

When and where to attend class sessions:
- Days
- Start/End Times
- Classroom Location 

Shows if the class is:

OLO — Online Only. No Meeting times
OLM — Online with Scheduled Meeting times
HYB — Blended; A mix of in-person and on-line instruction
HYX — Hyflex; Flexible Learning
TRD — Face-to-Face Learning

Name of Instructor:

- Click Name link to view instructor Contact Details in pop-up window.

Seat availability:

- Open: Seats available.
- Full: Class is full.
- Waitlist Available: Class full, but waitlist exists.

May include notations such as:

- Supported Learning Group. 
- Zero textbook cost.
- Other UFV specific attributes.

If a course is not cross-listed, then it will say No cross list information available.

If a course is cross listed course with another course, see Cross-Listed Courses and Course Description tabs for more information about which courses are offered as a cross-listed pair.

If a course is linked it will require lecture and lab combination.

These sections will be noted in the status column and in the linked sections column.

Example

If CHEM 113 had a linked lab:

- The section is linked in the Status column.

- A View Linked button shows required companion section.

If the course is not linked, then it will say No linked information available.
