Brightspace Assignment Grades & Feedback

When a Grade or Feedback has been released, you get a notification in the Update Alerts as an orange dot.

Click on the Update Alerts icon

If the assignment is not graded and not part of the gradebook, it will open the Feedback page for that assignment. You can read the Overall Feedback.

If the assignment is graded, it will open the Grades page.
Scroll down to the assignment you just received Feedback on.

Near the assignment name, you will see:

• Your score and grade,
• The overall Feedback.
  • Attached Files: Your instructor may
  • Attach additional feedback files or audio or video recordings. Click the name of each file to open them and view or listen to feedback.
  • Add comments directly in your submitted document. Click View Inline Feedback to be able to read them.
  • use a rubric to score the assignment. Click View Rubric to open it up and see how you did for each criteria.

Access all of your assignments and associated grade and Feedback by clicking Activities in the green course Navigation Bar and selecting Assignments.

In the list of all your assignments, you can view your submissions, your score and whether you have feedback to read.

• If you already opened and read the feedback, it will show as Feedback: Read in the Evaluation Status
• If you have not read the feedback yet, it will show as Feedback: Unread in the Evaluation Status.

Click Unread (or Read) to open the feedback page

The Feedback page contains:

• The Overall Feedback
• The Rubric with your score for each criteria and the overall score (if a rubric was used)
• Your score

You may also see Attached files: These are additional feedback your instructor attached, either as a file or as an audio or video recording.

Click on the attached file name to open it and view or listen to the Feedback.

You may also see Inline Feedback: These are comments that your instructor made directly in the file you submitted for the assignment.

Click on View Inline Feedback to open your file and read these feedback.

Click on Done to exit the Feedback page.

You can access your grade and feedback for graded assignments only by clicking Feedback in the green Course Navigation Bar and selecting Grades.

Scroll down to the assignment you would like to review.

If you access your assignment by clicking Content in the Green Navigation bar and navigating to the assignment link:

You will be able to view the overall grade and a link to Go to: Feedback

Click on Feedback

In the My Work area, You will be able to read the Overall Feedback and Overall Grade.

Click on Full Evaluation.

The Feedback window opens. It contains:

• The Overall Feedback

• The Rubric with your score for each criteria and the overall score (if a rubric was used)

• Your score

Click on the attached file name to open it and view or listen to the Feedback.
