TelemetryTV - Onboard / Offboard User

If it hasn't been done yet, first create the department on TelemetryTV


  1. Sign in with an admin account -> Settings -> Users and Groups -> Users -> Add User
  2. Uncheck the `Invitation` toggle.
  3. Email, First Name and Last Name need to be filled according to their information in Active Directory / Entra / MS Teams
  4. Password: Use a random password generator to put a secure and random string of characters in there. 
    • You do not need to save this or send it to the user. We are using SSO, but TelemetryTV still requires something in that field
  5. Select the respective group for the user
    • If multiple groups are required, you can Ctrl click on multiple options

Notify the user via the request ticket that their account has been made. Here is a template for the ticket update:

Next Steps:
* You will receive an email invitation to log on to TelemetryTV.
* Once logged on, you can create a new playlist or add your existing playlist.
* You will be added to our 'Community of Practice' channel in MS Teams. In the channel, you will find links to training materials, and you can talk with other editors and our IT team if you have any issues.
* Your TV will show a placeholder playlist of content from UFV Today. When you are ready to publish your first playlist, you can reach out via email or teams if you need assistance.
