Login and How to Upload Info into CareerLink

For Students:

  1. Go to www.ufv.ca/jobs or visit here for login.
  2. Click on the link for CareerLink for Students which will redirect you to the CareerLink “Sign In” page.

    Note: Steps 3 and 4 are for first-time users. If you have already logged in before, you can skip to step 5 for further instructions. 
  3. Click on the Current Students: Single Sign On button. Login using your Student Email and network password and click on the Sign In button.

  4. After signing in, the CareerLink home page appears. Click on the Profile button on the left-hand side column of the screen.

  5. The student profile page appears where options are available for adding details related to your education and experiences, which can be helpful while building your resume. Refer to the Experiential Learning Student Profile section for detailed information on profile setup.

Experiential Learning Student Profile
The Student Profile allows the students to self-record valuable experiential learning opportunities on and off campus. It is not tied to any official record, and no validation is required. Students have the option to showcase their profiles to employers by selecting a “publish” function to boost their professional visibility and employability. An example of a complete student profile is shown below:

Each part of the Student Profile along with suitable examples is demonstrated below:

  • Personal Statement:
    A personal statement conveys a student’s key skills, competencies, the overall goals they want to achieve professionally, and the contribution they aspire to make in a workplace.

  • Education:
    This section includes the list of educational programs a student is enrolled in currently or has completed previously.

  • Experience:
    This section showcases various Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, including but not limited to Co-op, practicum, preceptorship, internship, Work-Study, and an honorarium-based experience. The students describe the key roles they played during their WIL experiences.

  • Organizations and Activities
    This section demonstrates students’ participation in on-campus and external clubs and organizations and highlights their contribution outside the classroom. These include but are not limited to service-learning, professional memberships, volunteerism, events, scholarship-based programs, and Study Abroad including Study Tours.

  • Skills and Competencies:
    This section allows students to select their skills from an existing menu and add additional skills they acquired during their Experiential Learning activities.

  • Projects
    This section showcases opportunities that are project-based inside and outside of the classroom. These include domestic and international field experiences, CityStudio courses, Global Challenge courses, conference participation, consulting, creative performances or exhibits, applied research, in-class simulation and experimentation, entrepreneurship and innovation, student-led initiatives, and other.

  • Honors and Awards:
    This section showcases a student’s achievements and awards including research and community awards, scholarships, honors option under academic programs, medals, athletic achievements and other.
