Web Printing - Student

Overview

A web interface for students to print at UFV. This will allow students to print to all student printers with a print release station attached.

Web printing is primarily designed for laptop users with support for Android and iPhone smartphones/tablets. 

Applicable for UFV computers, personal devices, MAC and Windows as well as iPhone/Android.

Login Screen

Authentication via UFV student credentials is necessary at the following web page: printing.ufv.ca.

The web page login appears as below: UFV web printing login page

Upon login, you will see your Blackboard balance, transaction history, etc.


How to Print

  1. Click on the Web Print tab on the left-hand side of the screen as shown belowWeb Print tab
  2. After launching the Web Print function you will be able to submit your job by clicking on the Submit a Job tab. Submit a Job button under Web print function
    • Options will be available for the Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission campuses. Selecting a printer under Web Print function
  3. Select your location and black/white or colour option and click on Print Options and Account Selection.
    • Choose how many copies you would like to print and then upload your documents.
  4. At the upload screen, you will be able to browse to where your file(s) are located or you can drag documents to the window as shown below. Uploading documents under Web Print function

  5. Repeat as necessary to upload all files that you want to print. All documents will appear as shown. Uploaded documents appearing under Web Print function
  6. Select Upload and Complete when all documents have been uploaded. Upload and Complete option under Web Print function
    • You will receive a pop-up on your device as shown below: Pop-up message stating your document has been held in a queue
  7. Your browser screen should now show that your job is in the queue and being held. Jobs are held in the queue for 120 minutes.Job held in the queue
  8. The job(s) can be released (printed) at any student printer with a release station attached. 
    • At a release station you can tap or swipe your card to login. Select the job(s) you want to print and then click on print.
