General Item Repair

Overview

Utilize this service to request repair of walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, doors, shelving, etc.

The following are examples of what this service includes:

  • Wall repair
  • Ceiling tile repair / replacement
  • Floor repair
  • Furniture repair (e.g., missing screws, broken handles, broken table legs, etc.)
  • Door repair (squeaky doors, improper shutting, etc.)
  • Whiteboard repair
  • Shelving repair

Financial Responsibility 

Please note that financial responsibility depends on the nature and purpose of the work requested. 

Department Responsibility 

Individual departments are responsible for costs associated with projects, items, or enhancements that are initiated and approved by the department. Examples may include: 

  • New equipment 
  • Maintenance & repairs to department-specific equipment 
  • Whiteboards 
  • New signage 
  • Changing paint colors 
  • Non-essential facility enhancements (e.g. door closures, light dimmers, specialized furniture) 

CPFM Responsibility 

Campus Planning and Facilities Management (CPFM) is responsible for costs associated with work that are determined functionally necessary, prioritized, approved, and managed by CPFM. Examples may include: 

  • Repairs to damaged building systems 
  • Routine building maintenance 
  • General repairs required to maintain existing facilities and infrastructure 

Financial responsibility will be confirmed as part of the review and assessment of the work request.

Information Required

You will need to include the following important information as part of your request:

  • Budget / index code (if chargeback required)
  • Spending authority
  • Location of needed repair
  • Preferred repair date
  • Detailed description of needed repair
  • Attachments (picture(s) of item to repair)
