As an accepted new student to UFV, you will be sent two emails:
- The first email is an acceptance email from UFV Admissions and it contains your UFV student number and lets you know within about 24 hours, you will receive a second email confirming your account creation.
- The second email is from IT Services and it contains your UFV student email, and your student ID, and the steps for you to setup your account.
Note: If you believe you have not received an email with your UFV account details, the email may have redirected to your email spam, junk or trash folder.
Check your other email folders
Gmail or Google Mail
- On your computer, open Gmail
- In Search mail at the top of the page, click the Down arrow
- In the drop-down menu next to Search, select Mail & Spam & Trash
- In the Has the words field, type, "You have been set up with a Microsoft 365 (M365) account"
- Clear the date from the date field with the icon
- At the bottom, click Search
Outlook or Hotmail

Above the Outlook ribbon, select the Search bar

Type in quotation marks: M365 or You have been set up with a Microsoft 365 (M365) account

Click Search
Apple Mail app

From your mailbox, swipe down to reveal the Search field.

Click Search and type You have been set up with a Microsoft 365 (M365) account

At the top of the message list, choose between All Mailboxes or the Current Mailbox

Click Search
