If you are expecting emails from UFV Admissions or IT Services but haven't received them, your personal email may have filtered them into your junk or spam mail folder.
Below are some tips on how to find and search your junk or spam folders search so you can retrieve these important emails.
As everyone has the ability to customize their email features, your email folder setup may be different.
Gmail
1. On your computer, open your Gmail web application.
2. In Search mail at the top of the page, click the symbol on the right side.

3. Click in the Search option to see its drop-down menu, and then choose to filter by Mail & Spam & Trash.

4. In the field Has the words, type in your search phrase using quotes, i.e. "Welcome email".
5. In the field Date within, clear any dates.
6. At the bottom, click the Search button to view your results.

Note: If you are using the Gmail mobile app, you may need to click the three bars () in the upper-left corner to open the main navigation menu. To expand the left menu, click More and then your Spam folder should be visible.

Outlook / Hotmail
1. On your computer, open your Outlook / Hotmail web application.
2. Open the folder pane (if not visible, go to the View tab, and change to Show).
3. Click on the Junk Email folder on the left side as it will now search in Junk Email folder.

4. Type in your search phrase using quotes, i.e. "Welcome email".

Search Apple Mail app
1. Click the Mail app
to open to your Inbox on your iPhone.
2. Tap the back arrow in top left corner until you see all your mailboxes under Mailboxes.

3. If you have more than one mailbox, repeat the steps below for each mailbox.
a. Click on a mailbox to open and expand the folders.

b. Scroll down to find the Junk folder and tap on it to open it and look for your email.

c. If you find an email that does note belong in the Junk folder, click the edit button, select it and move it to your inbox.
