How UFV faculty and staff can install software applications through the Microsoft Store onto their UFV-issued device.

UFV staff & faculty can install free software applications from Microsoft Store on their company-provided desktop or laptop.

Note: The steps below should only be followed for free software applications only. For any paid application, please submit a software purchase request.

Follow the steps below to install applications from Microsoft Store.

Press the Windows key on your keyboard and search for Microsoft Store.
From the search results, click the Microsoft Store icon.

Use Microsoft Search to find Microsoft Store

From the list of available software will be displayed, select the program you would like to install.

Note: You can also search for a specific application. In this example, we’re installing the Evernote app.

Click on the Get button.

The application will start installing.
