The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) invites you to share your feedback on the instructors teaching your current courses.
Your input plays a vital role in helping faculty, departments, and the university better understand and respond to the needs and experiences of students like you.
UFV uses Explorance Blue, a secure and anonymous online evaluation tool, to collect and compile your feedback.
Once submitted, your responses are delivered confidentially to the appropriate UFV administrators and faculty members.
Note: Instructors do not receive feedback until final grades for the course have been submitted.
Not all courses are selected for student feedback.
If your course is included, you’ll receive an invitation to participate.
You’ll be notified through:
- A notification on your Brightspace course dashboard
- An email sent to your UFV student account
Follow the steps below to complete your Student Feedback on Teaching and contribute to continuous improvement at UFV.
Access and start your evaluation(s)
From Brightspace
Log in to Brightspace as you normally would with your regular student UFV username and password:
1. Go to the myClass webpage at brightspace.ufv.ca/.
2. Click the Login with your UFV Account green button.
3. If prompted, enter your UFV username and password.
4. Look for your evaluation list:
A pop-up window may appear with your list of your open evaluations and a link to each for easy access.
If you do not see this window, navigate to the top green menu and click Course Evaluation.
5. Select an evaluation from the list to begin.
7. A Welcome Page will appears.
8, Click the Start Now blue button.
From email notification or links
Once you receive email notifying you to provide feedback on a teaching survey:
1. Open the email.
2. Click on the Start the evaluation now link provided in the email's message, and you will be directed to your list of evaluations.
Note: Typically when you access your evaluations, you will be automatically authenticated through UFV single-sign on.
In some cases, you may be prompted to log in through UFV’s portal and asked to enter your UFV username and password.
3. Select an Open evaluation or click Start Now to begin.
Complete your evaluation
1. Answer each page of questions
Your evaluation may have one or more pages.
On each page:
Answer all mandatory questions (marked with a red asterisk ).
Use Next and Previous to navigate.
Use Save to pause and return later.
Use the Continue button to resume a evaluation.
2. When ready, submit your responses
You have reached the end of your evaluation when you see a Submit button.
Click Submit when you are done.
Note: Your evaluation is not complete until you click Submit and see the thank-you message.
3. After submission
A thank-you message should appear and you may be directed back to your task list.
If you have other evaluations pending, click Start Now to continue, or View All to see the complete list.
