When you use the File Submission, you have the option to:
- Add a file
- Record Audio
- Record Video
- Drag and Drop files
- Browse for files
- Add comments in the editor textbox
To attach a file (i.e. a pdf, Word, mp4, etc.) you created on your device:
1. Either drag and drop your files into the Drop files area or you can click the click link to browse and go find your files on your device.

2. A notification will appear once your file has been uploaded.

Note: The type of file you can attach and how many files you can add may be restricted by your instructor.
3. Once you've completed the assignment, click Submit.

4. Your assignment will display Submitted in the top right corner.
Note: You must attach a file to be able to submit a 'file submission' type of assignment - you cannot only use the Comments section.

Note: Follow these instructions below if your assignment is a File Submission and you accessed it from Activities > Assignment as the view is slightly different:
To add a file from your device:
1. Click on Add a File
2. Select My computer

The same Record Audio and Record Video options are available.
The Comments textbox is also accessible with all the options to format the text entered.
Once submitted, the assignment will show the submission in the completion status in the Assignments list.

Attach a file saved in your Brightspace Locker
1. Click on Add a file.
2. Select My Locker (or Group Locker if it is a Group assignment).
4. Find your file.
5. Click on Add.

Audio or video recordings
If your instructor asked for an audio or video recording, click the tab options and follow the instructions to create and attach a video or audio recording into your assignment.

Comments editor textbox
You can also add a comment by clicking in the Comments editor textbox.
