UFV is working with the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) to help make browsing the internet safer. CIRA proactively identifies and blocks malicious websites that consist of phishing and malware, or other threats to the security of UFV systems.

If a website is blocked by CIRA, you will be presented with one of the two following webpages:

A website I need has been blocked. How can I access it?

If you have encountered a blocked webpage that you think is safe and would like to access, please submit a ticket to the Service Desk with the website link.

If the website has been falsely blocked, our third-party can re-assess the website and remove it from the block list. This typically can be done same-day, but can take up to 2 business days.
