Overview
This service is used to request to transfer or change rooms. Room transfer requests are charged up to $50 and are accepted during the academic year within the following times only:
- Fall semester: November 1 to 30
- Winter semester: February 1 to 27
- Summer semester: June 15 to July 15
NOTE: If you are considering changing rooms due to a roommate disagreement that you are unable to resolve, approval from your Community Assistant will be required. Refer to the UFV Housing & Campus Living Handbook (Section 2.12 Dispute Resolution).
We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but cannot guarantee your request. Some points to consider:
- Specific floor or roommate requests are not guaranteed
- Transfer requests require approval from Housing Operations
- Transfer requests are processed in order of the date received, based on availability
- The cost of cleaning the room you are moving out of will be charged to you (charges will vary)
Information Required
You will need to include the following important information as part of your request:
- Student name
- Student number
- Phone number
- Unit number
- Requested transfer date
- If request is due to roommate disagreement
- Reason for transfer
- Special requests, if any
