Student Housing Room Space Booking Request

Overview

This service is used to request a room booking in UFV Student Housing (H or J Building).

NOTE: All booking requests must be submitted at least 10 business days in advance and receive approval from UFV Student Housing.

For licensed events, requests must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the event and receive approval from UFV Student Housing.

Room spaces in Student Housing are designated primarily for Student Housing programming, student requests, and operational needs. External bookings are accommodated only when availability allows.

 

Study Rooms (e.g. ABJ-238)

  • Available for students currently living in housing only
  • Study rooms are used for quiet individual or group studying for academic purposes only
  • Available in H & J
  • Must be a maximum of 2 hours in length
  • Only one study room can be booked at a time so that other students have the opportunity to use the study rooms on the other floors
  • Study rooms cannot be booked during exam periods

Common Kitchen/Lounges (e.g. ABJ-250, ABJ-200)

  • Available for students currently living in housing only
  • Students are encouraged to use common kitchen/lounges for non-academic activities.
  • Must be a maximum of 2 hours in length
  • Must be an inclusive activity that everyone is welcome to join
  • Only one common room can be booked at a time, so that other students have the opportunity to use the common rooms on the other floors (Exceptions for Campus Living Programming)
  • Common rooms cannot be booked during exam periods
  • Available in H & J

Great Room Kitchen & Lounge - ABJ-132

  • Available for students currently living in housing only
  • Used for cooking classes, events that require kitchen space for food/material preparation
  • J Building only

Lobby - ABJ-150

  • Typically used for promotional tabling
  • Available in H & J
  • Subject to availability for UFV departments for the following dates/times only:
    • Weekdays only 8:30 am - 9:30 pm

Meeting Room - ABJ-157

  • Meeting space only (no audio-visual)
  • Seats 9, 3 tables
  • J Building only
  • Subject to availability for UFV departments for the following dates/times only:
    • Wednesdays & Fridays only 8:30 am - 9:30 pm

Multipurpose Room & Servery Kitchen - ABJ-161 & ABJ-159

  • Large multipurpose space up to 120 seating
    • Servery kitchen attached (catering only, no oven, includes fridge & dishwasher)
  • J Building only
  • Subject to availability for UFV departments for the following dates/times only:
    • Mondays 9:30 am - 9:30 pm
    • Wednesdays 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
    • Thursdays 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

 

STUDENT BOOKINGS: Ensure that you have read your UFV Housing & Campus Living Contract and the UFV Housing & Campus Living Handbook agreements before submitting this request.

 

UFV Department BOOKINGS: Ensure that you have reviewed the availability of rooms above before submitting this request.
