Overview
If you are enrolling at UFV in the academic year immediately following your high school graduation, you may qualify for a UFV Entrance Scholarship.
One application covers all UFV Entrance Scholarships.
Award Selection
- Recipients are selected by the Entrance Scholarship Selection Committee based on academic excellence, community/school involvement, volunteer experience, and leadership endeavours.
- Calculation of Entrance Scholarship GPAs are based on grade 11 and 12 courses.
- Decisions are based on, but not limited to, award criteria, grade point average (GPA), and letters of recommendation.
Before You Begin
This application must be completed in one sitting. You cannot save and return later.
Please prepare all required documents before starting the form.
Required Documents
- 1 page cover letter about yourself, your goals, accomplishments, and why you chose UFV
- Summary of Grade 11–12 accomplishments, including hours for:
- Leadership roles
- Volunteer/community involvement
- Awards
- Employment
- Two current reference letters (non-family; speaking to your service/leadership)
- Most recent high school transcript, including interim Grade 12 marks
- Must show English 12 for President’s Entrance Scholarship consideration
- Any additional documents required for specific entrance awards (see Award Guide)
Note: Make sure you meet the criteria for the scholarships you select.
Applications missing any of the required documents will be considered incomplete and cannot be assessed.

How to apply?
Click on the “Submit Entrance Scholarship Application” button and complete all required fields, including uploading all four documents listed above.
Note: You do not need to be admitted to UFV to apply.
Applications must be received by the UFV Financial Aid and Awards office on or before March 10th. Most award winners will be notified by the end of May. Due to the number of applications, we will only be contacting selected recipients.
