Accessing Older Emails With Cache Mode Enabled in Outlook

Overview

With cache mode enabled, all of your historical email data is saved on the server, but only 12 months of data is available in the offline “cache” on your computer. This helps optimize performance for when you’ll be migrated to Exchange Online. This article provides the ways you can access your older emails.

How to Access Older Emails with a Cache Mode Enabled in Outlook

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the folder that you’ve stored your emails and you’ll see a link that says “Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange”.

  1. At the top of your outlook, select the “Folder” tab. Then click on “View on Server”. This should bring you to all of your historical information as well.
