Overview
Enhanced Phishing Protection is a feature on UFV-provided Windows 11 devices that helps protect your UFV password against phishing and unsafe storage. When you sign into Windows using your password, Enhanced Phishing Protection works alongside Windows security protections to help keep your password safe.
How does Enhanced Phishing Protection work?
- Protection against malicious sites or apps: If you type or paste your UFV password into a malicious site, Enhanced Phishing Protection alerts you. It also alerts you to change your password so attackers can't gain access to your account.
- Unsafe password storage alerts: It's unsafe to store your passwords in text editors or other documents. Enhanced Phishing Protection can warn you if you store your UFV password in Notepad, Word, or any other Microsoft 365 Office app, and recommends you delete your password from the file.
