If you receive a bounce-back email from Office365 saying, "Your message to donotreply@blackboard.com could not be delivered", the system may have saved a contact incorrectly in your email settings.
First check the spelling of the instructor email address you are sending to.
If the email address is spelled correctly, you will then need to delete the generic Blackboard email reference from your email.
Follow the steps below to search your contacts and delete the incorrect contact(s):
- Log in to your student email at Office.com using your student email address and password.
- Click on Contacts tab.
- Under Contact and Contacts Lists, scroll through and find any contacts referencing do-not-reply@blackboard.com.
- For each incorrect contact, select and use the top menu Delete button to remove.
- Also, check your Other Contacts list for the same email address do-not-reply@blackboard.com and delete as required.
