Install SPSS 29 on Mac

This article shows how to install SPSS 29 campus software for employees and students on a personal Mac computer. Software install files can be obtained from gateway.ufv.ca by following the steps below:

1. Go to gateway.ufv.ca.
2. Login using the credentials listed below:
   1. Student
      • Username: Student ID (e.g. 300123456)
      • Password: myUFV password
   2. Employee
      • Username: AD username i.e. lastnameFirstInitial/s (e.g. doej)
      • Password: UFV email password
3. For Students navigate to Student\Instructor_files\SPSS\Mac OS\29
   • For Employees navigate to Employee\Public\Campus Software\_licensed\CAMPUS\23.009 SPSS 29\MAC
4. Download IBM_SPSS_STATISTICS_CLIENT_29.0.2.0.pkg 
5. Double-click on the package to run: 
6. Click on Continue to begin the installation. 
7. Read the Read Me section and then click Continue. 
8. Review the License Agreement and click Continue. 
9. Click Agree to accept the License Agreement. 
10. Enter your credentials to install the software. 
11. Click Close to finish the installation. 
12. Launch the SPSS software and click Launch License Wizard when you get this pop-up window. 
13. Select the Second option: Concurrent user License highlighted in the image and click Next. 
14. Enter the following address “gandalfgrey.bc.net” and click Next.
15. This window ensures licensing is complete. Select Restart. 
16. SPSS will relaunch and check the Default box next to Local Computer when you get this pop-up window. Select OK.
