Request a photo shoot

Overview 

The Communications team provides photography services that support the University of the Fraser Valley's strategic priorities, institutional storytelling, and reputation. Photography requests may include promotional images, special events, campus life, research, teaching, and other initiatives that showcase the university. 

Please submit your request as early as possible. Due to scheduling and capacity limitations, submitting a request does not guarantee photography coverage. 

If you are looking for existing UFV photography, please check the UFV Flickr image library before submitting a request. 
 

Information Required 

Before opening the request form, please have the following information ready. The portal may time out if left inactive for an extended period. 

  • The name and description of your event or project 

  • The date, start time, end time, and location of the shoot 

  • The purpose of the photographs and how they will be used (web, print, social media, etc.) 

  • A description of who or what will be photographed 

  • A list of important people, moments, or specific shots you would like captured 

  • Contact information for the on-site contact person 

  • If applicable, the name of the Community Engagement project manager associated with the request 

Providing clear details helps us determine the scope of the request and prepare appropriately for the shoot. 
 

Instructions 

  1. Complete and submit the Photography Request form. 

  1. The Communications team will review your request to determine whether it aligns with UFV's strategic priorities and current capacity. 

  1. If approved, we'll contact you to confirm the details and discuss any logistics before the shoot. 

  1. After the photography session, images will be edited and delivered to you within an agreed-upon timeline.
